Gospel’s Transformative Power (October 2024 Newsletter)

The Gospel Impacts Every Area of Life

When God called me into ministry, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew it was good. Very good, because God is good. Please, don’t get me wrong, I am well aware of persecution and suffering as a Muslim background believer who is working in one of the most dangerous countries for Christians. However, the journey has been very rewarding, and I can’t even imagine doing anything else other than knowing Him and making Him known.

In February of this year, our ministry received a phone call from a Pastor who had some ex-Muslim Christians in his congregation. The daughter of this particular family, a 16 year old in high-school, was pregnant. Her boyfriend who got her pregnant was a Christian too. The girl’s father was still a Muslim and very abusive. The mother claimed if her husband realizes what has happened, he would kill their daughter. And, she told the Pastor, “We have to do anything to get rid of the pregnancy for the life of my daughter!”

Muslims come from a culture of honor and shame. They will do almost anything to preserve their honor. Anything that brings them shame, they have to cover up or remove it totally. That is why there’s honor killing in Islamic Middle Eastern culture. This also is one of the reasons why leaving Islam is such a big deal in a Muslim community, because you are bringing shame to them.

We counseled the Pastors in how to help the family to save the baby’s life. In this situation, we asked if the boyfriend would consider getting married. The pregnant girl wasn’t opposed to marriage either. After much prayer and counsel, the Pastors decided to help them get married. They drove them to another state to marry them due to her being 16 years old. In Islamic culture, getting married at a very young age is normal, so her dad wasn’t against the idea. Proverbs 3:18 “She (Wisdom) is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her.” They got married and kept the baby. Hallelujah!

In August, we wrote to you about a girl who was a convert to Islam from Mormonism. She found us online, and after talking to us over a period of 2 1/2 years, she finally left Islam for Christianity. Since that day, I have become her unofficial Father/Pastor. She told me that she was 21 weeks pregnant, and had made an appointment at Planned Parenthood for the following week to terminate the pregnancy. In the state that she lives in, the limit to have an abortion is 24 weeks. This was going to be her 4th child by a 4th man. After talking extensively with her to persuade her to keep the baby; she was still determined that her future would be ruined if she had the baby. I can not describe in words the righteous anger that came upon me.

This is now Sunday, and I was ministering at a church in northwest Colorado, and the appointment for the termination of the baby was approaching fast. That morning I ministered, and in the evening service I shared my burden with the congregation before I ministered and asked if we could unite in prayer that God would intervene in this situation. We prayed in unity!

The next morning she contacted me and said, “I couldn’t sleep all of last night, and I cried all night long. I cannot go through with this abortion. I am going to cancel the appointment and make an appointment with my doctor.” When I heard that, the burden I was feeling for the baby broke loose. What a joy! If the baby is a boy, his name is going to be Isaac Amin. I named him, and he will have my middle name as his. Praise God!

Through our ministry, the same Gospel which spares the life of the babies here in the U.S. is also working across the globe to turn the worst enemies of Israel to its best friends. Let us not forget that the Islamic Regime of Iran is the number one enemy of Israel. 90 million Iranians have fallen captive to this regime since 1979, and their kids are growing up in the Islamic school system which teaches them the hatred for Israel and the Jews. I was one of those young zealots who was marinated in this detestation for so many years. But, thanks be to the King of the Jews who rescued me out of this darkness. One of the reasons we actively evangelize and try to introduce Muslims to the true Christ is to counter this fallacy that hating Jews is service to Allah. We tell them, “The King of the Jews has poured out His life for your salvation.”

Our latest outreach in the Middle-East in August (which I call it summer outreach), we handed out twelve hundred Bibles to Iranian and Afghan Muslims and saw the salvation of 137 of them. Among tremendous resistance sometimes, we see so many Muslims hungry for Truth.

We met a lady on the streets who when she saw us handing Bibles to her family members, she held our hands and kissed them, she thanked us loudly and repeatedly. We met another person who heard the Gospel six years ago but wasn’t interested at all then. Yet, Jesus appeared to her in a dream. At this time, she was dealing with major osteoporosis and was scheduled for a surgery. She described, “The man in my dream told me decisively ‘Come to me.’ I said, ‘I have so much pain. I can’t walk.’ He said, ‘Not anymore, you have received your healing from my hands. Come to me.’ I asked him, ‘Who are you?’ He answered, ‘I AM Jesus Christ.’ She said, ‘When I got up to walk toward Him, I woke up from my dream.’” She continued, “Soon after, when I went to my doctor’s appointment for my scheduled surgery, they found no osteoporosis. I am completely healed. Doctors did not know what had happened, but I did. I knew that I had to go back to where I met those Christians to tell me about Him.” The Lord divinely put her right in our path, so that we got to meet her and tell her about the Man in her dream. With tears of joy in her eyes, she accepted the Man in her dream as her Lord and Savior. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ!

BECAUSE OF YOUR PARTNERSHIP MUSLIMS ARE HEARING THE GOSPEL WITH GLADNESS.

Why Become a Monthly Partner?

Monthly Partners are an essential part of the ministry. It is the steady stream of income from our Monthly Partners that allows us to plan and prepare for projects around the world. Your partnership is fueling the advancement of the Gospel among Muslims all over the world. Many lives and communities throughout the Muslim world are being changed. This change is happening with Bible distribution and evangelism of the Muslims in the Middle East and Beyond, training indigenous pastors and church planters who become disciple-makers, and our massive social media outreach.

This December, we are holding a discipleship conference in the Middle-East to teach the foundation of the Christian faith to so many of these newly ex-muslim converts. Many are the direct fruits of our street evangelism, and they need to be water baptized and discipled. Most of them will be traveling from Iran to a neighboring country where we are holding this conference so that we can water baptize them, worship the Lord freely with them, and get them connected to an underground Church.

Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:13, “Contribute to the needs of God’s people [sharing in the necessities of the saints]; pursue the practice of hospitality.” I believe we are doing what God has called us to do and this ministry is a fertile soil.

Together, with God, we are engaging Muslims with Christ.

In His Service,

Mohamad & Susan
