Farsi Translator & Interpreter

Accurately translate Christian literature from English into Farsi, ensuring theological fidelity and cultural relevance. Proofread and edit Farsi translations. Provide real-time interpretation and written translation services between English and Farsi during refugee resettlement appointments, medical visits, legal consultations, Bible studies, pastoral care sessions, and ministry events. Collaborate with educational team members to develop instructional materials for Farsi-speaking refugees and immigrants to support their integration into U.S. society. Maintain detailed records of interpretation and translation projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in English
English Language Teaching, Persian Language Studies, or a related field
2 years of experience in translation and/or interpretation services
Native/near-native fluency in Farsi and English
Willingness to participate in Christian ministry or outreach
Alignment with Iranian Christians International’s vision, mission, and Statement of Faith
Familiarity with Middle Eastern cultures with Muslim backgrounds
Familiarity with Christian theology and terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and translation software tools
Travel required once per year within the US to provide interpretation at a conference

Full-time. Salary $54,413.
