The God Who Answered
Farzaneh’s Testimony
I was born in Iran into a loving and devout Muslim family. I firmly believed that Islam was the superior faith for its belief in one, indivisible god, Allah. My marriage was arranged, and my husband and I moved to the United States to continue our education. We planned to return to Iran after a few years, but things rapidly changed for the worse back home. Political turmoil cut off our financial support, and soon after, I received word that my father had passed away. With two small children and only student visas, we took illegal jobs and lived under constant pressure.
I kept praying faithfully five times a day, but God felt distant and silent. My anxiety grew so severe that I began living on tranquilizers. Seeking a safe environment for my children, I enrolled them in a church preschool. The kindness of the people there touched me – especially the women in an aerobics class I joined for my health. I participated in the exercise but avoided their prayer times, which conflicted with my beliefs.
Our last hope was to obtain a work permit. We hired an attorney and pinned all our dreams on his success. One night, he called with devastating news: our request had been rejected. We had hit a stone wall. All our plans had failed, and my prayers to Allah felt unanswered.
The next morning, I went to the aerobics class with a heavy heart. For the first time, I stayed for prayer. When one of the women asked for prayer requests, I broke down and poured out all my family’s problems. They listened and prayed for me, calling God their Father and asking in the name of Jesus.
On the way home, the name Jesus echoed in my mind. I began to cry, speaking to Him directly: “If You really are God, then all this time I have been wrong.” That evening, I asked again, “Jesus, if You are the true God, let me know what I should do.” That night, I dreamed I was taking my children on a long, rough road to Jerusalem to see Jesus. When we finally arrived, exhausted, our way was barred by an immense brick wall with no door. I began to cry, “Jesus, I came all this way to see You. Is there no way of reaching You?” A voice answered, “No, this is not the end.” At that moment, my children and I began to rise, floating up and over the wall until we stopped before a heavenly gate. The gate opened, and a person in a white robe welcomed me with open arms. I could not see His eyes; in their place was an intense, beautiful radiance that lit the entire place. I knew immediately that I was face to face with Jesus.
I began to tell Him everything – all my problems, fears, and anxieties, from childhood onward. As I turned each one over to Him, I felt myself becoming lighter. The depression and anxiety melted away. He listened, and when I was too breathless to speak, He answered the questions still in my mind. Angels appeared and encircled Him, singing, “This is the Lord. Praise His name.” I joined them, singing with all my heart. Jesus promised me that all would be well. I woke up, and for the first time in years, I felt a profound peace. The weight was gone. I had found the true God.
The very next day, our lawyer called. In a stunning reversal, the Department of Labor had approved my husband’s labor certificate and granted us permanent residency. I had asked Jesus for a drink of water, and He gave me a full cup. He has proven Himself to be my provider, my strength, and my joy. God is no longer distant or silent. I have a Heavenly Father who has made me His daughter and promised He will never leave me or forsake me.

Dear Friend,
When I look back at this year, I am in awe of what God can do through a simple act of obedience. The same Jesus who changed my life continues to reach countless others through my testimony and the ministry He has called me to – Iranian Christians International.
One of the most moving testimonies we received in 2025 came from an Iranian Muslim who has been incarcerated for 18 years in a prison in Oklahoma. Alone in solitary confinement, he came across my testimony on a tablet through the Pando App. He later wrote to us, “When I saw your testimony, the
Lord opened my eyes. Now I am a Christian. Freer than when I was outside. ”
When I think about my own journey – from a life headed nowhere to now being used as a vessel of salvation for others – my heart overflows with gratitude. Truly, only God could write such a story. And out of it, God has opened doors I never could have imagined: doors to teach, testify, and equip His people.
This year those doors included teaching Apologetics at Charis Bible College, sharing my testimony on the Gospel Truth Network with Andrew Wommack, speaking at Set Free events across California, Colorado, and Chicago, and leading mission trips to Armenia, Turkey, and other undisclosed nations. Whether in churches, podcasts, student conferences, or business devotionals, the message remains the same: if God could save a wretched Muslim man such as me, there is hope. And, the impact of that message continues to surprise me.
On one of those podcasts where I shared my testimony, the episode reached over 600,000 views in just eight months. That’s when God puts His super on my natural and part of that “super” is the divine relationships and partners He has brought alongside this ministry. Because of you, your prayers, your faith in this work, and your partnership thousands have heard the Gospel, Bibles have been distributed across the Middle East, and former Muslims are becoming fearless disciples of Christ. The underground church is being equipped with solid Christian books translated into Farsi, and persecuted believers have been helped through our advocacy. You are part of this harvest.
I often pause to thank God for the partners and friends He has joined to this ministry. I truly thank
my God in every remembrance of you. Your faithfulness, encouragement, and love have been a constant source of strength to me and to this work.
As we close this year, my heart is filled with thanksgiving to God for His goodness-and to you, for standing with us. Your support has made it possible to reach those trapped in darkness with the light of Christ.
Let’s continue walking in obedience together. There are still many waiting to hear the Good News.

A Year End Reflection
Over the past six years, God has done extraordinary things for Iranian Christians International (ICI). After more than forty years of faithful service, the ministry reached a critical turning point – a moment of transition into a new phase and new leadership. What could have been the end became the beginning of a powerful new season. What started with almost nothing but faith has grown into a thriving, Spirit-led movement that reaches nations, transforms lives, and advances the Gospel among the Persian-speaking world and beyond.
A NEW SEASON BEGINS (MAY 2019)
In May 2019, ICI entered a new chapter. At that time, there was only one part-time staff member and a small mailing list of 296 people who received a one-page newsletter from the ministry. The organization had no funds in its accounts, and several long-time partners were preparing to discontinue support.
What seemed to be the end was actually the beginning of a new season God had already planned. He began to breathe a new life into the ministry. Today, ICI operates (has centers) across four nations – the U.S., Armenia, Iran, and Turkey. Annual donations have increased by 1,034% from $74,966 in 2019 to a projected $850,000 in 2025, reflecting God’s faithful provision and the generosity of our partners.
ICI HEADQUARTERS
In 2025, ICI purchased an 11,334 sq. ft. headquarters in Colorado Springs, valued at $1.85 million. The ministry secured a $1.2 million loan and invested $600,000 in savings toward the purchase. Since then, the loan balance has been reduced to $850,000. The property includes 10 suites – ICI currently occupies one suite (approximately 2,400 sq. ft.) while the other nine are rented and generating steady income for the ministry. As the ministry continues to grow, there is room to expand within the building and occupy additional space in the future. Once the loan is fully paid, the property will generate approximately $12,500 per month that can be reinvested directly into missions and outreach.
MEDIA AND OUTREACH EXPANSION
God has opened a vast digital mission field. Across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, ICI’s media platforms now reach 150,000 followers and subscribers, with more than 13 million views and 2.5 million hours of watch time. Programs such as Forsaking My Father’s Religion reach Muslims in countries where missionaries cannot go.
HUMANITARIAN AND ADVOCACY IMPACT
When Muslims convert to Christianity – especially in nations such as Iran or Afghanistan – persecution quickly follows. Advocating for and assisting these believers is an inseparable part of ICI’s mission. The ministry has represented countless persecuted believers before government offices and courts around the world. ICI has hired immigration attorneys, written support letters, and provided affidavits and legal documentation for Iranian and Afghan Christians seeking refuge cases that we personally know or have carefully vetted.
A key example is Brother Mehrdad, a former leader of an underground print ministry in Iran. After entering the U.S. in 2023, he was detained while seeking asylum. Even in detention, he continues to lead Bible studies and share Christ. ICI has raised funds for his legal defense, worked closely with attorneys, and mobilized prayer for his release. In 2025, ICI also provided housing for several Iranian Christian refugees, covering rent, food, and education costs as they began rebuilding their lives in their newly found countries.
LOOKING AHEAD (2026 AND BEYOND)
The following season is full of vision and expectation:
- Hire four key positions to strengthen the ministry team.
- Pay off the headquarters and become completely debt-free.
- Transform one suite in HQ into a professional media studio for high-quality discipleship and evangelism content.
- Continue mission trips to the Middle East to evangelize and distribute Bibles among Muslims.
- Grow our online church and expand digital discipleship.
- Host larger conferences in new nations.
- Expand in-person discipleship within underground churches and closed countries.
- Pursue the vision for a Farsi discipleship program with Charis Bible College, beginning translation and faculty development for future training.
ICI’s mission remains steadfast: to engage Muslims with the Gospel of Christ, develop ministry leaders, disciple new believers, and be a voice for the persecuted. God has done exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or imagine-and He will continue to lead His people triumph in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Smartphones Are Gutenberg 2.0
Throughout history, whenever truth has been chained by religion or corrupted by human control, God has intervened to set it free. He has always raised up a voice, a movement, or even a machine to tear the veil and release His Word.
In the fifteenth century, the Church was shrouded in religious control. The Scriptures were locked away in Latin (the Vulgate), known only to the clergy, while the people walked in spiritual ignorance. In 1440, Johannes Gutenberg’s printing press became Heaven’s instrument to unleash the written Word. Reformers like John Wycliffe, Martin Luther, and William Tyndale risked their lives to translate the Bible into the languages of the people.
For the first time, common men could read the truth for themselves. The Word of God escaped the walls of religion and ignited the fires of the Reformation. Christendom rediscovered the living Christ, not through ritual or priesthood, but through the living Word.
Now, after fourteen centuries of religious control, the Islamic world is experiencing an unprecedented awakening. For generations, Muslim clerics acted as the exclusive interpreters of faith. The Qur’an remained bound to classical Arabic, which most Muslims could recite but not understand. Religious education focused on memorization, not comprehension. This created a system of dependency – Muslims relying on imams to tell them what to think, what to believe, and what to fear.
Now that system, the monopoly, is breaking down. The internet and smartphones have become the modern equivalent of the printing press. Information that was once censored or forbidden is now only a click away. Translations of the Qur’an, Hadith, the biography of Muhammad, and early Islamic commentaries are available in almost every major language. Muslims are researching their own faith, comparing sources, and finding contradictions that were never explained to them before.
This is not a small cultural shift – it is a civilizational tremor. For the first time in history, Muslims can bypass the control of their clerics. They are hearing alternative voices, reading original texts, and seeing how Islam’s historical record often contradicts what they were taught in the mosque. What began as curiosity is turning into disillusionment, and disillusionment is leading to departure. Large numbers of Muslims, especially the youth, are quietly leaving Islam. Online forums, YouTube channels, and social media groups are filled with ex-Muslims sharing their discoveries and asking spiritual questions once considered unthinkable. This is Islam’s version of the Enlightenment – a backlash against centuries of suppression.
The same God who once used a printing press to bring the written Word to Europe is now using the digital world to reveal the truth to the Islamic world. Behind the flow of data and algorithms, a divine hand is at work orchestrating an exodus from deception into truth.
Islam’s control over its people is breaking, and the Gospel is advancing faster than ever among Muslims. From Iran to Indonesia, from Turkey to North Africa, the underground church is growing.
Media is reaching places where missionaries cannot go. Fourteen centuries of control is collapsing in a single generation. What took centuries of suppression is now unraveling in a decade of exposure. History is repeating itself but with a divine twist. The Reformation liberated the Bible from religious institutions; the digital awakening is liberating Muslims from religious deception. Both revolutions expose falsehood, both elevate truth, and both lead to the same Person – Jesus Christ, the true Light of the world. The first Enlightenment transformed the West. The second is transforming the Muslim nations. And both proclaim one unchanging reality: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32
Yes, the internet and phones are sparking questions in the hearts of Muslims. As seekers discover problems in Islam online, they become disillusioned, but we don’t leave them there. We offer the answer: Jesus and His Word. We help them go from a private DM to a Bible in hand, from a screen to a small group. We help them step into real discipleship and underground fellowship.

This year we watched God put His super on our natural. From a prison cell in Oklahoma to underground churches in the Middle East, Jesus is the only hope to save, heal, and set people free. In 2019, what began with almost nothing but faith has become a Spirit-led work changing nations, and we’re just getting started.
Here at ICI, we believe this wholeheartedly: the foundation of every free people and society is the Bible. Where Scripture is opened, freedom rises. That’s why our focus is simple – access to the Bible and biblical literacy: translating, printing, distributing, teaching, and discipling so God’s Word reaches Persian-speaking homes and takes root.
WHERE YOUR YEAR-END GIFT GOES RIGHT NOW
- Pay off the Headquarters (primary need). Remaining loan balance: $850,000. Once this is paid off, it will free up about $12,500 every month which will be fuel we pour straight into more Bible distribution, discipleship, and outreach.
- Build the Media Studio. A professional space to produce Farsi/English evangelism, apologetics, and Bible-teaching that reaches places missionaries can’t go.
- Pursue the vision for a Farsi discipleship program with Charis Bible College. This project will build a pipeline for training pastors, evangelists, and disciple-makers for the underground church and the diaspora.
- Keep helping persecuted Christians. Provide legal help, housing, and practical care for Iranian and Afghan Christians who are paying a price to follow Jesus.
